Description

This Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Limited Edition, limited to 1,990 pieces, is inspired by explorations of the South Pole on the Antarctic continent. The watch is powered by Montblanc's automatic movement with universal time complication – the MB 29.25 calibre – which displays the time around the world and features distinctive luminescent rotating globes. it also displays day/night, a second time zone and the date. Housed in an ultra-light 42 mm case made of fully oxygen-depleted titanium, this new technical innovation offers several advantages for explorers by eliminating fogging and preventing oxidation, thus allowing the movement to last much longer with greater precision. The timepiece features an icy blue sfumato dial with a ‘glacier’ pattern and a bidirectional bezel in colour-coordinated anodised aluminium. It is available with an interchangeable bevelled strap featuring a fine adjustment system and a grey textile strap decorated with a ‘rope’ pattern. The case back features a 3D laser engraving depicting an icy landscape with the southern lights.
