In homage to the world's highest peaks and the mountaineers who dare to climb them in extreme conditions, this Montblanc 1858 Geosphere 0 Oxygen The 8000 is housed in a 42 mm titanium case that is completely devoid of oxygen. This offers several advantages for explorers by eliminating fogging and preventing oxidation, allowing the movement to last much longer with greater precision. The timepiece is powered by the MB 29.25 automatic movement with a universal time complication, which includes the time in 24 time zones readable on the luminescent continents of the rotating 3D globes of the northern and southern hemispheres, day/night indication, second time zone display and date. The timepiece also features a bidirectional black ceramic bezel with luminescent cardinal points, a dark grey sfumato dial with a ‘glacier’ pattern adorned with orange accents, and an interchangeable bevelled titanium bracelet with a fine adjustment system. The case back of this model features a 3D laser engraving of K2 mountain, rendered with incredible colour, depth and realism.
