More about Jaeger-LeCoultre

The Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Jaeger-LeCoultre is known around the world for its very flat watches and extremely complicated models with minute repeater, perpetual calendar or other tourbillon. The company has mainly revolutionized the art of watchmaking by taking on the biggest technical challenges. It was in 1833 that Antoine Le Coultre founded his own watch making workshop on the Sentier in the Swiss Jura. Inventive and precursor, he continues to cross new limits. Since 1907, a close collaboration and a friendship unite the watchmakers LeCoultre and Jaeger, nevertheless it is only in 1937 that their name will be associated to create the mark Jaeger-LeCoultre. The factory achieves a home production rate of at least 90% and manufactures almost all components of the timepiece itself. Watchmakers but also engravers, enamellers and setters combine gestures of the past and avant-garde technology to offer real masterpieces. Traditional handwork is at the center of Jaeger-LeCoultre's know-how, because in terms of quality and perfection, the company plays in the same yard as Audemars Piguet or Patek Philippe. Time passes but Jaeger-LeCoultre always combines the present invention and perfection. Despite the rapid pace of its innovations, the watch brand has made immortal its legendary Reverso, more than ever. In more than 170 years, the house's perpetual quest for perfection has resulted in more than 215 patents filed and 1,000 exceptional templates created.
