Fred

Born into a family that dealt in gemstones, Fred Samuel founded his own business in the city of fashion – Paris – in 1936. As a young jeweller he produced exceptional jewellery pieces that were decorated with the most colourful stones. He derived his source of inspiration from his love of the sea. That’s why, together with his eldest son, he created his most important collection: based on a connecting piece required in sailing, they created what is still today the most popular item from FRED – the Force 10.

Dinh Van

dinh van was born out of the desire to break the unspoken codes of jewelry design, by creating pieces that can be worn for any occasion. As a nonconformist brand, dinh van is always swimming against the current, inspired by the small details of everyday life. Instead of the traditional circular shape of rings, dinh van launched square designs! Where clasps are usually hidden, dinh van transforms them into centerpieces, as seen in the Menottes and Serrure collections. Unremarkable daily objects are dinh van's inspirations, turning a simple keyring into the central motif of the iconic Menottes collection.

Akillis

Founded in 2007 by Caroline Gaspard, the French jewellery house AKILLIS radiates energy. Its iconoclastic collections have stood a manifesto of independence for more than fifteen years. AKILLIS is the image of its founder Caroline Gaspard: a free woman. This freedom to be and to act permeates each collection of the brand. Fashioned in AKILLIS’ workshops, each piece reflects the personality of its designer.

Ole Lynggaard

Brand founder, Ole Lynggaard, was born in 1936. Even as a child, he enjoyed working with his hands and was smitten with sculpting and drawing. Hugely inspired by nature, art and architecture, Ole Lynggaard always knew that he would follow a creative vocation.

He was inspired to become a goldsmith by his parents, who owned two fine jewellery stores. During his years as a goldsmith’s apprentice in the late 1950s, Ole Lynggaard was surprised to discover that the actual designing process was a very limited part of the education. At that time, goldsmiths were first and foremost master craftsmen with the skills to create classic jewellery designs. This traditional approach did not satisfy Ole Lynggaard’s burning creative ambitions.
