Description
Here is a vintage Breitling chronograph “Long Playing,” reference 815, dating from around 1970.
Its 38 mm stainless steel case houses a beautiful sunburst grey dial with three sunburst black sub-dials, forming a Reverse Panda combination. The original hands and baton hour markers with their luminous material remain in excellent condition.
This watch is powered by the hand-wound Valjoux 7730 calibre, a robust and reliable movement featuring 17 jewels, beating at 18,000 vibrations per hour and offering approximately 45 hours of power reserve. The name “Long Playing” refers to the extended autonomy of the Valjoux 7730 movement, providing a longer power reserve than most chronographs of its time.
Inspired by the musical world, it evokes the LP vinyl record, a symbol of performance and duration. It is fitted with a new brown leather strap. This Breitling “Long Playing”.
