The company is indeed the result of the union of two factories, that of Haute Horlogerie and Jewelery. George Edouard Piaget, founder of the Piaget company in 1874 at Côte-aux-fées in Jura Switzerland, begins by making complex movements from haute horlogerie on the family farm. It supplies them to the most prestigious brands and very quickly, its activity is growing and its movements and know-how are recognized beyond borders. Generations succeed each other with the same desire to go further and further in innovation, performance and aesthetics. Growth and notoriety are based on three fundamental pillars: creativity, attention to detail and the spirit of luxury. In 1945, with the construction of a new factory in Geneva, Piaget specialized in extra-flat movements and the infinitely small. The watches are adorned with precious stones and fall into the category of jewelery thanks to rigorous technical prowess. The cuff watch is also a symbol of precious watchmaking. Thanks to the use of noble materials such as pink gold, white gold, titanium, steel, diamond or alligator, Piaget makes his watches works of art with robust and perennial characteristics. The last factory created in 2001 in Plan-les-Ouates now has its own research and development department.
