Oris

More about Oris

In 1904, the Oris watch factory was created in Hölstein, Switzerland. Paul Cattin and Georges Christian, the two founders from Jura, then take over the Lohner & Co factory and give their company the name of a stream flowing in the vicinity of Hölstein. But it is from 1925 that Oris will specialize in luxury watches, thanks to the opening, that year, of his own electroplating factory. Since the 2000s, Oris has been inspired by different worlds to launch his new collections. Music, aviation and motorsport are the first to be seen by the watchmaker, who successively launches different lines with the effigy of recognized artists. With each new collection associated with a personality, however, Oris tries to preserve the key elements that characterize it, like its famous "red rotor" which is a registered trademark.
